                                         Top of TicketNews’ Rankings

MIAMI, FL – May 26, 2011 – The AmericanAirlines Arena, Miami’s top sports and entertainment venue, ranked first in TicketNews’ Exclusive Top Sports Events rankings for the week ending Sunday, May 22. Up from the previous week’s number three ranking, AmericanAirlines Arena hosted Games 3 and 4 of the NBA Eastern Conference Finals between its Miami HEAT and the Chicago Bulls, leading to a surge in ticket sales. The Arena received a power score of 2.39 for the week, outselling all other venues in the TicketNetwork Exchange™.

According to Mike Walker, Executive Vice President of HEAT Group Enterprises—the marketing division for AmericanAirlines Arena—this ranking from TicketNews, the only national news source that reports exclusively on the ticketing sector, confirms AmericanAirlines Arena’s status as one of the nation’s leading venues for sports, music and family entertainment.

“South Florida’s fans are so passionate, and have shown their support continuously by coming out to the Arena to cheer on the Miami HEAT, and enjoy their favorite performers and family shows,” said Walker. “The fans have come to expect a world-class entertainment experience every time they attend a game or concert at AmericanAirlines Arena, and it is because we deliver on that expectation that we are able to achieve this kind of success in ticket sales.”

The Arena also ranked highly in the week's Top Event rankings, earning the No. 3 spot. The Arena looks forward to continued ticket sales success with the upcoming Maná “Drama y Luz” Tour, Britney Spears featuring Nicki Minaj and Sade featuring John Legend shows in July, as well as the Taylor Swift show in November.
