Pollstar’s 2010 Worldwide Year End Ticket Sales Ranks the Venue
Highest in South Florida, Second in the State
MIAMI, FL – February 11, 2011 – The AmericanAirlines Arena, Miami’s top sports and entertainment venue, was ranked first in South Florida, second in the state, and 15th in the nation on Pollstar’s recent report, 2010 Worldwide Year End Ticket Sales. The total number of tickets sold at AmericanAirlines Arena in 2010 was 317,408, outselling every South Florida arena.
The announcement was made by Mike Walker, AmericanAirlines Arena’s Executive Vice President of HEAT Group Enterprises.
According to Walker, this ranking from Pollstar, the authority on the worldwide entertainment industry, confirms AmericanAirlines Arena’s status as South Florida’s premiere entertainment complex for locals and tourists alike.
“The arena is not just a venue, but a destination in Miami. Fans have come to expect a world-class entertainment experience every time they attend a show at AmericanAirlines Arena.
